Summer haircut

After we were done buzzing his hair, he went down stairs to show Alexis. She got this worried look and asked if she was next. :)

St. Louis

We recently went to St. Louis for a day trip (only about an hour and a half away). We had a lot of fun! We met up with our friend Lauren and her nephew Drew for the Zoo and then after that we went to her parents' house and went swimming. We sometimes stay with them when we go to the church we've been attending near their house -there's a pic of the church.

Here's the St. Louis Art Museum. The Zoo and the Art Museum are in the same park, and both are free! Very nice.

Here's the kids in the Penguin house, brrrrr was it ever cold! It was really neat in there, lots of ice and snow and some of the penguins were so close you could reach over and touch them. This was the kid's favorite part of the zoo.

Hadley's come to visit

Alexis is rocking with Grandma Hadley on our porch and below is Papa Bruce, Grandma Hadley, Nana Judy, Julie and us.

Fishin'

We have been able to take the kids to a stocked lake in town and they love it! They each catch about 4-6 fish every time we go. They're becoming quite the fishers!

Here's a cake I did this week.

This was taken on a family hike through a nature center about 10 minutes from our house. We saw lots of butterflies, turtles, and a coyote and had a great time!

Some recent pictures

Here's Alexis and her new tricycle.

With a friend from the church we attend outside of St. Louis

I don't really know what she is doing here.

Here's some pictures the kids took when they stole our camera. Actually there were over 100 pictures that they took in about 15 minutes, but I deleted most of them. There were probably 15 of the toilet, I'm not sure why that was such a photographed item. Then there were photos of all their toys and books and several poses of each other with the heads or sides of their body cut off. There were also many pictures of their feet as they attempted to learn how to take a picture.

On an unrelated note, Micah has taken to peeing in random places. The couch, chair, floor, on a piece of paper, in a cardboard box, in his toybox. It's been lovely. We keep asking him why he's doing this and the only thing he said was, "It's because I have half a boy brain and half a monkey brain. It makes me do weird stuff." So there you have it folks, Micah is part monkey and will now be living in a tree outside of our house until he stops peeing all over.
